Helping students affected by natural disasters

The past few months have been difficult for so many with all of the natural disasters that have occurred worldwide.
In the United States, the Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, which struck Texas and Florida respectively, interrupted the lives of millions of people and caused billions of dollars in damage.
For some of the victims of the disasters, some of whom were college students or student loan borrowers, it may take some time to return to normal.
Earlier this month, the Department of Education issued an Electronic Announcement. The Electronic Announcement provides guidance for those working with students. In addition, information for students, parents, and borrowers is available at studentaid.ed.gov/sa/about/announcements/disaster.
