Reviewing budgeting basics this summer

Summer can be a great time to get tasks done that are harder to complete in the busyness of the school year.

Creating or revising a budget may be a task best completed in the summer, especially for college students who may be earning a bigger income during the summer months. Establishing good money management habits will help them into the future.

To help in developing a budget, Mapping Your Future created a 10-minute budgeting basics video. In the brief video, we discuss why a budget is important and how it can be used for accomplishing life goals. It also addresses how a budget can be created – even if you don't have a steady income or regular expenses.
