Students who drop out of college often say money is the reason.

That's why financial aid is so important in helping students attend and finish higher education. For your institution, financial aid may be critical in maintaining or achieving high rates of student retention and graduation.

For students who will be returning to college in the 2017-2018 academic year, now is the time to complete the renewal FAFSA. The Department of Education announced last week that emails reminding students to complete the renewal FAFSA will be sent January 16-25.

Federal Student Aid encourages financial aid administrators and others to remind students about completing the FAFSA. The announcement outlines resources offered by the Department of Education.
