Department of Education to release Campus-Based Program funding information this week

By Catherine Mueller

January 12, 2017

The Department of Education (ED) announced on Monday that it will provide tentative funding levels and corresponding worksheets for Campus-Based Programs this week.

The information, to be posted to the eCampus-Based (eCB) website, will provide information on tentative funding levels for the 2017-2018 Award Year (July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018). These tentative funding levels are determined in accordance with the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA).

Because appropriations for the 2017-2018 Campus-Based Programs have not been determined, ED has based the 2017-2018 Award Year Campus-Based tentative award funding levels on the amounts contained in the 2016-2017 Award Year appropriations. The 2017-2018 Final Award allocations may be delayed or revised depending upon the outcome of the appropriations process.

The complete electronic announcement and attachments are on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website.
