Making enhancements in a 24/7 world

In today's 24/7 world, we expect technology to be available all the time. But in reality, downtime is needed from time to time to make needed enhancements.

In a July 26 Electronic Announcement, Federal Student Aid announced Federal Student Aid website and system outages this weekend, August 3-6. The outage is scheduled to start at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time on August 3 and last through 8:00 a.m. August 6.

The outage will include websites such as the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System, FAA Access to CPS Online, fafsa.gov, National Student Loan Data System, Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG), StudentAid.gov, and StudentLoans.gov. A complete list of websites and other processes affected are listed in the Electronic Announcement.

Mapping Your Future is not immune to site outages, as one will be needed in the coming weeks. More information on the timing will be available soon in future newsletters, website messages, and e-mails.

If you have questions about the upcoming Mapping Your Future site outage, contact the Mapping Your Future staff at feedback@mappingyourfuture.org or (800) 374-4072.
