Guide to Life after High School sessions given a fresh look

A fresh look can be energizing, especially in the middle of winter. The Guide to Life after High School online sessions were recently updated with a new look, with the next steps to identify if any additional content updates are needed and to update the printable Guides.

Guide to Life after High School is a free, interactive program with four different versions available at mappingyourfuture.org/GuideToLife and over 710 educators have Guide to Life accounts.

The content varies depending on the guide and grade level. For example, the freshman guide focuses more on choosing a career and preparing for college (academic and financial), with a high level overview of financial aid. The senior guide contains more detailed information about financial aid programs and application procedures. All guides include age-appropriate money management information.

To complete an interactive guide, students must be at least 13 years of age. In addition, the school or educator must register to participate. Students under the age of 13 or whose school/educator doesn't participate are able to read printable versions of the guide.

High school teachers, guidance counselors, and other educators can register to participate in the program, ask their students to complete guides, and confirm, via a secure portal, that students have completed the assignment.

To register, sign up for an Online Education account at mappingyourfuture.org/G2L/guidesignup.cfm. After you complete the form, you will receive an e-mail asking for information to finalize the account.
