It's June 2020 and all is quiet on the IFAP website
June 11, 2020
If you haven't checked IFAP lately, you might not have missed a lot.
The recently electronic announcements on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website are mostly over routine matters, new reference guides, reminders about award year closeouts, and such.
Granted, it's all pretty important information and shouldn't be missed. However, there's not been anything new for the past several weeks about the interruption of study due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Some of the recent Electronic Announcements include:
- Posting of the 2020-2021 Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) Technical Reference.
- New Direct Loan Tools for Windows available for download on the Software and Other Tools page
- An announcement about the Quarterly SAIG Message Class File Update
- An announcement about the posting of the final 2021-2022 Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) Technical Reference.
While new guidance could help answer some of those lingering questions about financial aid and the pandemic, it is somewhat refreshing to have some of those routine or normal electronic announcements.
