Washington State University in Pullman, WA
Welcome to the Washington State University Graduate PLUS exit counseling session. Federal regulations require that all Graduate PLUS Loan borrowers complete an exit counseling session upon graduating, withdrawing, or dropping below half time enrollment. This exit counseling must be completed even if you plan to transfer to another school or re-enroll at Washington State University in the near future. This site provides a way of meeting that requirement. Please carefully read all of the information; you will answer questions along the way. Once you’ve completed all of the information requested at the end, an email will be sent to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships so that we can mark this requirement as satisfied.
Few Washington State University graduate students borrow through the Graduate PLUS Loan program. Because the Graduate PLUS Loan program began very recently, in the summer of 2006, average indebtedness statistics are not yet available.
At Washington State University, during the academic year, half time enrollment is defined as five credits for graduate students. During the summer session, it is defined as three credits.
If you are withdrawing from Washington State University, even if it is just for a semester, it is very important that you go through the proper steps. You’ll need to follow the directions and withdraw at www.cancel.wsu.edu. If you have questions, you should contact the Office of the Registrar at (509) 335-5346.
If you have any questions about your rights and responsibilities regarding Graduate PLUS Loans received while attending WSU, please contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at (509) 335-9711to speak with a financial aid counselor or email us at finaid@wsu.edu.
