Stafford Exit Counseling

Drury University in Springfield, MO

Exit Counseling Information

Federal regulations require student borrowers to complete exit counseling when they drop below half-time, graduate, or leave Drury. Undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least six credit hours for the fall/spring loan period, and at least three credit hours during the summer loan period to be considered at least half time status.  Graduate students must be enrolled for at least three credit hours to be considered half time status.

The purpose of exit counseling is to review the borrower's rights and responsibilities, inform the student of his or her aggregate loan total, and answer any questions the borrower might have.  You may access your individual loan information and history at http://www.nslds.ed.gov/nslds_SA/.

For your information:  Average indebtedness for Drury University Stafford loan borrowers is $10559.  For a student who has borrowed this amount, monthly payments would be $121.51 for 120 months.  Interest paid on this amount over a ten year period would be $4022.59.  Youe actual loan balance and payments will be different based on the actual amount that you borrow.

If you are unable to complete exit counseling online, you may contact Reva Brown, Assistant Director of Financial Aid at 417/873-7540 for the Springfield campus, or your local Branch Coordinator for an appointment or exit counseling form as soon as possible.

If you will be receiving an Associate's Degree and do not plan to pursue a Bachelor's Degree at Drury, you will need to complete exit counseling. If you will be receiving an Associate's Degree and do plan to continue your education at Drury, you will not need to complete exit counseling at this time, but please let the Financial Aid Office know. If you have any questions, please contact your Branch Coordinator, or call 417/873-7540, or -6908.
