Illinois Institute of Technology, Downtown Campus in Chicago, IL

Dear IIT Downtown Campus Student,
As a borrower of a Federal Stafford and/or Federal Graduate Plus Loan at the IIT Downtown Campus, federal regulations require that you complete student loan exit counseling. The purpose to this is to help ensure that you understand your rights, responsibilities, and obligations as a federal loan borrower.
All federal loan borrowers are required to complete an exit counseling session prior to graduation or when they cease to be enrolled at least half-time, as defined by the Registrar's Office. If you are withdrawing from the school you must complete a Withdrawal Form which is available at the Registrar's Office. This will impact your financial aid. You will enter your 6 month grace period on your Federal Stafford Loan and if you borrowed from the Federal Graduate Plus Loan it will go into repayment immediately.
Contact your loan servicer(s) for a deferment/forbearance, and other loan repayment options. If you have trouble making your loan payments, please contact your loan servicer(s) immediately.
To access your aggregate federal loan history and to find your loan servicer(s) log on to the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) at www.nslds.ed.gov using your FAFSA PIN.
