Important products and services, including Online Counseling, to be unavailable October 10-11

Mapping Your Future will make major enhancements to the website on October 10 and 11, resulting in the unavailability of some of the important products and services over that weekend.

Products and services which will be unavailable:

  • Online Counseling – Students will not be able to complete counseling sessions, nor will they be able to retrieve their counseling record for a previously completed session.
  • Integration of Loan Counseling – If an MPN is integrated with Online Counseling, the MPN system will not be able to query the database to verify if a student has completed loan counseling.
  • Financial Aid Office Access Area – Schools will not be able to log into their accounts.
  • SchoolExpress – Schools will not get a response.
  • ExitExpress – Guarantors will not get a response.
  • ServicerExpress – Servicers will not get a response.

These enhancements are critical due to the increased volume of students completing counseling sessions and the increased number of counseling confirmation queries by schools and guarantors. 

We understand the inconvenience to you, our customer, should we need to do extensive, unplanned maintenance. We therefore only will disrupt service for maintenance if we determine the situation to be crucial to the performance of the site.

Mapping Your Future normally conducts weekly maintenance on the website on Mondays between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. Central, when required. By analyzing usage statistics and bandwidth consumption, the staff has determined the site has the least amount of traffic during this time. The staff will use this period to do upgrades and repairs to the Mapping Your Future network that otherwise would disrupt service.
