Mapping Your Future partners with SaveUp Rewards

Encouraging students to succeed both academically and financially is central to the Mapping Your Future mission.

To help accomplish that mission, Mapping Your Future has partnered with SaveUp Rewards to engage students and others in financial and student loan education by offering rewards for completing specific counseling and activities.

SaveUp Rewards is an innovative, socially responsible technology company, founded by Stanford graduates Priya Haji and Sammy Shreibati, which uses gamification and rewards to get people involved in their personal finances. On SaveUp, users earn rewards and prizes when taking smart financial actions like saving money, paying down loans, and completing financial education. SaveUp was designed using behavioral economics principles and has been widely recognized from the New York Times to the Wall Street Journal for innovation to help young people organize their finances.

"Students can complete non-regulatory counseling on Mapping Your Future, such as Financial Literacy counseling, and earn SaveUp credits," said Cathy Mueller, executive director of Mapping Your Future. "For colleges and universities wanting to increase students' understanding of money management or student loan management, the partnership with SaveUp offers a great incentive for students to complete a counseling session that isn't mandated by regulation."

Students who complete specific counseling or activities on Mapping Your Future earn SaveUp credits, which can be redeemed for the chance to win a wide range of prizes, including scholarships, travel, and even a $2 million jackpot.

This partnership should enhance completion rates for counseling, as well as provide additional encouragement to keep these students engaged in positive financial actions.
