Funding students in need with campus-based programs

Since it impacts how many students can receive assistance, understanding future funding levels for campus-based programs is critical for many institutions.

The Department of Education announced last week that tentative 2020-21 funding levels for campus-based programs along with the corresponding worksheets are now online on the Common Origination and Disbursement website. These tentative funding levels are determined in accordance with the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA).

Schools will be notified by email that their tentative funding levels and worksheets are available on the COD website. Emails are sent to the school’s Financial Aid Administrator, as provided in the school’s most recently submitted Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP) or the FAA listed on the "School Information" page in the Campus-Based section of the COD website.

  • To access the worksheets: Log in to the COD website and from the School tab, select Campus-Based from the left menu
  • Select the "Self Service" option from the left menu, then "Notifications"

If the data in the worksheets is not correct and/or the tentative funding levels are inconsistent with prior year funding levels, schools should notify the COD School Relations Center as soon as possible, and no later than February 28, 2020.
