While you were hopefully sleeping or enjoying a cup of coffee, the Department of Education made some updates this past Sunday to the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System.

According to a July 30 Electronic Announcement, the Department made changes to the COD System to support the reporting requirements for withdrawn students who qualify for a Title IV waiver under the CARES Act.

With the updates made this past weekend, the Department added the 2021-22 processing cycle to the COD System. In addition, all Campus-Based Program forms and instructions and Campus-Based processes are now updated in the COD System for the 2021-22 Award Year and are available to view and edit.

The Department isn't finished with its changes to COD. In late September 2020, the Department will make modifications to the Return of Title IV (R2T4) calculator on COD Web and add new and modified reports.

In the Announcement, the Department said it will post additional technical information and documents and other operational guidance on the IFAP website. For more information, contact the COD School Relations Center at 1-800-848-0978 or via email at CODSupport@ed.gov.
