As a student, you have an invitation to visit the U.S. Department of Education's offices in Washington, D.C.

Of course, you do need to RSVP first, and you can do that by completing the Department's online request form. The registration form provides students and youth-serving institutions an opportunity to request a meeting with the Department. The Department offers this invite because, according to the invitation, "students are the stakeholders most affected by their programs and services, and policies and practices."

Make sure you plan your schedule ahead if you are interested in visiting the Department as the process for reviewing requests may take up to two weeks. You will receive an email, letting you know if the Department has capacity to accommodate your visit.
