Is it too late to complete the FAFSA?

Maybe you have put off completing the FAFSA, the federal student aid application, because, after all, you have a million other things to do. Now, you are worried that maybe it is too late.

The short and quick answer is no, it is not too late.

If you are applying for aid for the 2020-21 academic year, you actually can actually complete the FAFSA up until June 30, 2021. (So that means, if you are in higher education right now and have not completed the FAFSA for the 2019-20 academic year, you can still do so until June 30, 2020.)

However, it is always better to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible and to make note of any FAFSA deadlines that imposed by your state or by your school or college for their financial aid programs.

So make it a priority soon to complete the FAFSA to make sure you receive any financial aid for which you are eligible.
