Not that you've probably had any time to think about your school's default rates, but, in any case, you can now put off thinking about it for a little while.

In an April 23 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education said it was extending the deadline for schools to submit appeals to the draft FY2017 rates to June 30, 2020. The extension was granted due to the declaration of a national emergency concerning the COVID-19 outbreak.

In the same Announcement, the Department announced it is granting a waiver of the Federal Work Study community service requirements for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 award years.
