Goodbye to IFAP; Hello to FSA Partner Connect

I can’t say that I won’t miss the IFAP website.

It’s hard not to feel a little nostalgic about letting go of the website that was a constant companion through the years. Still, the FSA Partner Connect website, which has now replaced IFAP, will probably soon find a new place in the hearts (or at least the minds) of financial aid professionals.

The Department of Education debuted the FSA Partner Connect site on March 28. The website serves as the new portal for institutional and financial organizations that work with the Department of Education. According to the Department, this information page is a centralized location for communications and training information specifically about FSA Partner Connect.

An earlier announcement from the Department providing information about how professionals could get information about the new site, including live webinars, webinar recordings, tutorials, and other job aids. Frequently asked questions (FAQs) are available on the FSA Partner Connect Information page on the IFAP website. For questions about the training, contact the Department of Education at helpdesk.fsatraining@ed.gov.

And don’t worry, if you find yourself typing in IFAP into your browser, the Department of Education will steer you to the FSA Partner Connect site with a website redirect.
