Hoping to reach a large audience of financial aid professionals, the Department of Education is planning another virtual event for the 2023 Federal Student Aid Conference.

In a February 3 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education said this year’s conference will be held virtually, November 28–December 1.

“While there are many factors that support a virtual event for 2023, the most important reason is that a virtual conference reaches a larger audience,” the Department said in the announcement. “As we prepare for significant changes to financial aid processes and systems for the 2024–25 award year, we feel it is particularly important to share this event with as many participants as possible.”

The Department said it remains committed to providing a meaningful and beneficial training experience, and they are looking at new ways for attendees to engage in the virtual environment.

The Department also said the conference website will be moving to a new location soon and will feature an updated look and feel. Registration for the event will open in the fall.
