Worldly matters

The two are millions of miles apart.

No, I am not referring to the two sides of the student loan forgiveness arguments – although you may be correct there.

Instead, I am referring to the two planets – Jupiter and Venus – separated by 400 million miles and many other differences.

First of all, Jupiter is almost 12 times larger than Venus, according to Universe Today. In addition, their orbits are different – Venus orbits the sun in days while it takes Jupiter years. And their make-up is different – Venus is rock and metal while Jupiter is mostly hydrogen and helium.

But tonight, March 1, those two planets – the brightest of the solar system – will come together to produce a stellar event. According to Space.com, Jupiter and Venus will be so close, within a half a degree of each other, "the two planets will appear to 'kiss' in the night sky."

If these two worlds – so far apart in many ways – can come together for one spectacular event, what else is possible?
