New volume added to Federal Student Aid Handbook

With the addition of another volume to the Federal Student Aid Handbook, financial aid professionals can now catch up on the latest instructions on managing the Direct Loan Program.
In a July 26 Electronic Announcement, the Department announced the availability of Volume 8 – The Direct Loan Program of the 2023-2024 Federal Student Aid Handbook.
In addition to the new volume, the Department said it made a revision to Volume 1, Student Eligibility, Chapter 3 in this latest version of the 2023-2024 Federal Student Aid Handbook.
The Federal Student Aid Handbook consists of the Application and Verification Guide, nine numbered volumes, and appendices. It is posted digitally and as a print-ready PDF on Federal Student Aid’s Knowledge Center. Errata and Updates for the 2023-2024 Federal Student Aid Handbook are also available.
