Department reschedules 2024-25 FAFSA Demonstration

The Department of Education's demo of the new simplified FAFSA has been pushed back a few weeks.
The Department last week updated the April 6 Dear Colleague Letter, which provided a schedule of FAFSA Simplification training sessions for financial aid professionals, and moved the 2024–25 FAFSA® Demonstration to 1 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, August 17.
The Department said this demo presentation will include a tour of new features and discuss important updates to the FAFSA experience. The demo will include a look at the new roles page, inviting contributors, new question order, student demographic questions, the parent wizard, and other new features. In addition, the Department will demonstrate how users will provide consent to retrieve and disclose Federal Tax Information (FTI).
