From a distance, everyone seems to be lucky. Get too close and you start to see some of their flaws, their tragedies, and their heartbreak, and you realize that maybe they aren't so lucky after all. With everything that has happened in this past year, you could find yourself wondering: how could anyone be considered lucky this year? Everyone has been impacted by the pandemic, and there's been plenty of other crises and catastrophes added on top of the pandemic. As a financial aid professional, you are dealing with the details of misfortune every day. You don't have the ability to keep your distance because you are the one helping students. You know all too much about their struggles, but, still, help them persevere to get an education and improve their fortune in life. Amid, and despite the crises, there is hope for the future.
