Financial aid professionals may have noticed incorrect loan information being displayed in NSLDS for some borrowers.
In a June 5 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education said it has identified an issue on the Loan Summary page of the NSLDS Professional Access website that results in the display of incorrect loan details.
“Our initial research indicates that loan information for the borrower the user previously retrieved may be displayed, rather than for the current borrower,” the Department said in the announcement. “We are actively working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.”
The Department recommended that financial aid professionals, while waiting for the issue to be fixed, should refresh the page or clear the computer’s cache after successfully retrieving a borrower’s information.
