It may be a bold but necessary request in what has been a tumultuous year for federal financial aid.

The Department of Education will be asking for your thoughts on how easy it is to work with Federal Student Aid.

In a June 4 Electronic Announcement, the Department said an independent vendor will conduct a Title IV Institutional Survey to assess the ease with which schools are able to conduct business with the Department.

According to the Announcement, the survey is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the Department and Federal Student Aid provide the school community with resources to assist them in administering the Title IV programs on their campuses. An independent vendor, CFI Group, launched the web survey on June 5. The survey will close by July 17.

The Department said CFI Group will contact school financial aid administrators via email and provide a link to the web survey. The notification emails will be sent from: “Federal Student Aid, through CFI Group [noreply@invite.cfigroup.com]”. The web survey is designed to take approximately five minutes to complete and will be conducted in a manner ensuring anonymity of all responses. Participation in this survey is voluntary.
