Just in case you were afraid to ask, there’s a place where you can find everything you always wanted to know about FAFSA Simplification.
In a March 22 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education reminded financial aid professionals about the FAFSA Simplification Information area. In the announcement, the Department said the FAFSA Simplification Information area “has been in place on the Knowledge Center since October 2022 as a repository for all information, guidance, and training related to implementation of the FAFSA Simplification Act and the FUTURE Act.”
The resources you’ll find in the FAFSA Simplification Information area include the following:
- Federal Register Notices Including Regulations – Links to the published Federal Register Notices and regulations related to the FAFSA Simplification Act. The links are listed in descending order beginning with the most recently published date.
- Dear Colleague Letters and Electronic Announcements – Links to the published Dear Colleague Letters and Electronic Announcements related to the FAFSA Simplification Act and the FUTURE Act. The links are listed in descending order beginning with the most recently published date.
- Resources – Links to training, conference presentations, and technical guides related to the FAFSA Simplification Act.
- 2024-25 FAFSA Updates – Regular status updates and resources related to the 2024-25 FAFSA form.
- 2024-25 FAFSA Issue Alerts – Explanation of key issues related to the 2024-25 FAFSA form, FAFSA Submission Summary, and ISIRs that we identify and resolve.
