Jobs that require a bachelor’s degree are expected to grow faster than average for all occupations, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics.
In the Bureau’s publication of The Economics Daily posted on March 7, 2024, it was reported that occupations that typically require a bachelor’s degree are expected to have 3.3 million openings each year, on average, over the next decade. “Overall, employment in bachelor’s-level occupations is projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations,” it was stated in the report.
The report stated that the growth in jobs requiring a bachelor’s degrees reflects the relatively high numbers of openings due to new jobs.
According to the report of the jobs requiring bachelor’s degrees, software developers are expected to have the largest number of openings from growth (41,000 each year, on average), and it had the highest median annual wage ($127,260).
