You might be tired of talking about it.
As a financial aid professional, you’ve probably answered more than enough questions already about the FAFSA.
You’ve likely answered a ton of questions from students, faculty, and administrators. Some have just heard about this year’s FAFSA issues and wonder if it’s had any impact on you. Yeah, that’s when it’s hard to suppress the eye roll.
And then there’s the questions from family members or complete strangers who, once they find out you work in financial aid, wonder if you can help them or ask why the FAFSA is so important.
To help you with those conversations when someone wonders what’s going on or why you are so stressed, Mapping Your Future has created an “8 Things to Know about the FAFSA” flyer to serve as talking points in those conversations.
The talking points cover the “why” of the FAFSA issues – such as why it is a critical issue for students, for families, for higher education, and, well, for everyone. If labor predictions are correct, we are going to need education to meet future workforce needs.
With that in mind, the importance of the FAFSA and the role of financial aid is something we should never stop talking about.
