At first, it seems a little unusual – receiving an update to a FAFSA preview presentation when the 2024-25 FAFSA was released almost 6 months ago.
But, then again, this year has been anything but typical.
In a June 12 update to an Electronic Announcement issued last year, the Department of Education said it updated the presentations to incorporate slides that were not yet available when the preview presentation was updated last year.
In the update, the Department did not specify the changes to the presentations, but last year said the second phase for the preview presentation would include any updates to material from the initial release of the preview presentation as well as new screenshots, including making corrections to the FAFSA.
Both the PowerPoint presentation and the PDF document are now considered final, according to the Department.
