The Department of Education (ED) has announced the availability of the updated 2024–25 Federal School Code (FSC) List of Participating Schools. ED reminds schools of their requirement to keep school name and address information current.
In the July 26 Electronic Announcement, the Department said schools must submit updates through the Electronic Application for Approval to Participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid Programs (E-App). The information will be used to update the Federal School Code List of Participating Schools.
The Federal School Code List contains the unique codes assigned by the Department of Education for schools participating in the Title IV federal student aid programs. The list is available electronically in PDF format and as a Microsoft Excel (XLS) file. Students can enter these codes on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to indicate which postsecondary schools will receive the processed application results.
