Interested community-based organizations (CBOs) can apply to participate in the first beta testing period of the 2025-26 FAFSA.
The Department announced that interested CBOs can submit an interest form to participate in the BETA 1 testing period.
Interested CBOs will have until the September 5 deadline to submit the interest form and describe their past FAFSA-related work, participation and support of FAFSA-related events, process for hosting a successful FAFSA completion session, potential recruitment efforts, and how they meet other requirements outlined in the form.
Between two and six CBOs will be selected for Beta 1. Schools that wish to participate in Beta 1 are encouraged to partner with a CBO. The announcement outlines the criteria for the best-suited candidates.
The Department plans to announce the CBOs and schools selected to participate on September 9 and will also conduct an orientation session the week of September 9.
