Some reading material that will help you start your 2025-26 planning is now available.
FSA announced the availability of the 2025–26 FAFSA Specifications Guide. This guide will assist schools and other FSA partners in incorporating the functionality of the electronic FAFSA into their institutional systems.
FSA will post volumes of the guide throughout fall 2024 starting with the Introduction, volumes 4A, 4B, and 5, along with the 2025–26 Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) record layout in Excel.
Between October and December, additional volumes will be released.
It’s important to note that revised versions may be posted throughout the processing cycle to implement new requirements or to address issues in earlier drafts. A “Change History Table” is included in each volume to address changes made after the initial publication.
