Financial aid professionals have another way to access the 2025-26 Federal Student Aid Handbook – via PDF format.
In an August 20 Dear College Letter, the Department of Education announced the availability of PDF files of the 2025–26 Federal Student Aid Handbook. This allows schools to download the entire handbook or individual volumes.
The PDF version of the 2026-27 Federal Student Aid Handbook is being worked on, and the Department will notify the financial aid community when it is available.
The Federal Student Aid Handbook consists of the Application and Verification Guide, nine numbered volumes, and appendices.
