Magnifying glass with FAFSA being magnified

Financial aid and college access professionals can now access information and screenshots for the 2026-27 FAFSA to use for planning purposes, communicating changes, and training.

An August 14 Electronic Announcement from Federal Student Aid (FSA) includes a presentation and PDF file with information and screenshots of the 2026–27 online FAFSA form. The screenshots can be used for staff training and financial aid night presentations.

The presentation includes information on the following:

Initial Application – The presentation demonstrates the initial application for dependent and independent student scenarios, dependent applying for Direct Unsubsidized Loan only, and a provisionally independent student or an unaccompanied homeless youth, and the FAFSA Submission Summary.

Corrections – The presentation demonstrates adding schools to the FAFSA, submitting a correction to the homeless determination, managing FAFSA contributors, and submitting a correction for missing consent and approval.

FSA points out that the data used in the presentation is test data and provides examples of what users will see on the website.
