Hopefully, you won’t be working on Thanksgiving day, but if you do, you should know that some Federal Student Aid offices are taking a break or will have modified hours.
Federal Student Aid (FSA) announced that their federal offices and Federal Student Aid processors and contact centers will be closed on Thursday, November 28 in observance of Thanksgiving. All FSA websites will be operational on the holiday.
Modified hours surrounding the holiday include:
- FSA Partner and School Relations Center (including COD, FSA Partner Connect, and NSLDS) – will close at 3 p.m. Eastern time (ET) on Wednesday, November 27.
- Federal Student Aid Information Center – will close at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, November 27.
- FPS Help Desk and School Relation Center (including COD, FSA Partner Connect, and NSLDS) – will be closed on Friday, November 29.
The FAFSA Processing System (FPS) will accept data on Thursday, November 28, but will not process data or send ISIRS until Friday. The Common Origination and Disbursement System (COD) will accept and process data from schools and will send responses/acknowledgments on Thursday, November 28; however, schools will not receive federal funds. Any requests for changes in funding levels and funds will be processed on Friday, November 29.
