The Department of Education is among the federal offices closed in observance of the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Inauguration Day on Monday, January 20.

A recent Electronic Announcement states that the Federal Student Aid (FSA) processors and contact centers will be closed on January 20. All FSA websites will be operational on the holiday.

Adjustments to the processing schedule include:

CPS and FPS – The Central Processing System and FAFSA Processing System will accept data on Monday, January 20, but will not process data or send 2024-25 or 2025-26 ISIRs until Tuesday, January 21.

COD System – COD will accept and process data and send back responses/acknowledgements on Monday, January 20. Schools will not, however, be able to receive any federal funds on January 20. Any requests for changes in funding levels and for funds will not be processed until Tuesday, January 21.
