Reminder about FAFSA Call Center extended hours

While many financial aid professionals have been dealing with data and deadlines in recent weeks, the 2025-26 FAFSA completion cycle has gotten underway. That launch of the FAFSA cycle also typically means more calls from students and parents. Hopefully, the expanded hours for the FAFSA Call Center have been of some help and is worth sharing widely.

The FAFSA Call Center is offering expanded hours, including evenings and weekends, which started November 22 and extend through March 2, 2025. In addition, English and Spanish speaking agents are available, as well as interpretation services in additional languages.

The Regular Contact Center Hours include:

  • Monday                                      8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (ET)
  • Tuesday & Wednesday            8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (ET)
  • Thursday & Friday                    8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET)
  • Saturday & Sunday                  Closed

The FAFSA-Only Support Hours include:

  • Monday                                      Available until 10 p.m. (ET)
  • Tuesday & Wednesday            Available until 10 p.m. (ET)
  • Thursday & Friday                    Available until 10 p.m. (ET)
  • Saturday                                    Noon to 5 p.m. (ET)
  • Sunday                                       Closed
