The manual is essential in the administration of federal financial aid, providing staff with the proper steps to package, disburse, and manage funds.
The manual is also a crucial component of a school’s internal controls, necessary for federal compliance.
Federal Student Aid (FSA) recently announced a live virtual two-day training course, with ongoing Q&A, that will focus on best practices and strategies for schools to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
The live sessions will be offered from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (ET) on the following dates:
- April 8-9
- June 16-17
- August 6-7
Up to 50 participants are allowed for each session and participation will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
To register for the Policies and Procedures training course:
- Log in to the FSA Training Center with your username and password.
- Select “Training Courses.”
- Select “Policies and Procedures Training” from the dropdown menu.
- Select the Sign-Up link for the course you are interested in and enter your information.
- A confirmation email will be sent once the registration process is complete.
Anyone without a username and password for the FSA Training Center, should choose “Create new account” (at the bottom of the log-in page) and follow the instructions.
