Tip of the Week
Fireworks and financial aid
Working in financial aid – or in some aspect of education – can sometimes feel like a fireworks display.
Sometimes exciting and sometimes scary.
There are days when a co-worker or student says or does something that makes you feel like you’re on top of the world and, in your mind’s eye, you see a shower of beautiful fireworks or sparklers.
Then there are days when you are working on a project, and something unforeseen happens or doesn’t happen as it should. It reminds you of the fireworks that only travel a couple of feet off the ground before emitting a small flash and a muffled noise before hitting the ground. A dud that sometimes, if you’re not careful, can go off when you pick it up or handle it.
Hopefully your days consist of more beautiful fireworks than duds.
As we approach the July 4th holiday, here’s hoping you can leave the fireworks (both exciting and scary ones) to the experts and enjoy a relaxing holiday weekend.
