Learning the fundamentals is essential for anyone taking on a new job, but it’s especially true in the world of financial aid.
On July 1, the Department of Education announced the launch of Federal Student Aid’s (FSA) 2025–26 FSA Fundamentals Training Series.
This training series consists of two courses:
- FSA Fundamentals Online – This is a self-paced, online course available in the FSA Training Center.
- FSA Fundamentals Virtual Workshop – These instructor-led virtual workshops are four and one-half days in length and are scheduled from September 2025 through May 2026.
Participants must successfully complete the FSA Fundamentals Online Course before registering for the FSA Fundamentals Virtual Workshop.
The virtual workshops are categorized by school type: clock-hour/nonterm credit hour or credit-hour.
The Electronic Announcement also includes a “Questions and Answers” section.
