Schools participating in the TEACH Grant program will want to check out the additional information available for the 2024-25 TEACH Grant Closeout.
In a recent Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education provided some reminders and additional information for colleges that need to complete the 2024-25 TEACH Grant Closeout by the September 30, 2025 deadline.
Schools are minded that in order to be successfully closed out, they must have an “Ending Cash Balance” of $0 and can officially confirm closeout through the School Balance Confirmation page on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website by selecting the correct program and award year in the dropdowns.
Some deadlines included in the announcement include:
- Data submission deadline to submit award and disbursement records is 9 p.m. (Eastern) on Tuesday, September 30. All final reconciliation activities should be completed well before this final deadline.
- Actual disbursements must be received and accepted by COD no later than 8 a.m. (Eastern) on Tuesday, September 30.
- Drawdowns, drawdown adjustments, and/or refunds of cash must be requested before 3 p.m. (Eastern) on Tuesday, September 30.
