Institutions that need to submit foreign gifts and contract information can now use the new Section 117 reporting portal.
In a recent Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education is reminding institutions that the new Section 117 reporting portal located at ForeignFundingHigherEd.gov is now live. Institutions need to use the portal to submit foreign gifts and contract information by the January 31, 2026, reporting deadline.

Technical questions or access issues related to the Section 117 reporting portal can be directed to ForeignGiftsAccess@ed.gov. Non-technical questions about Section 117 can be sent to the Section 117 compliance team at ForeignSourceReporting@ed.gov.
Since January 31 falls on a weekend, disclosure reports must be submitted no later than Monday, February 2. A failure to comply could result in an enforcement action.
