
Financial aid professionals can make note of some upcoming Wednesday Webinars offered by Federal Student Aid (FSA).
FSA announced two live webinars covering key Title IV topics that will be held in January and February 2026. Participants can ask questions by typing them into the chat during the webinar, and a live Q&A session follows the presentation.
Registration is not required for the webinars as they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 5,000 attendees. The webinars will be hosted on the Zoom platform.

Verification for 2025-26 and 2026-27
- January 28, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. (ET)
- Discussion will include verification requirements for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 FAFSA cycle, acceptable documentation for the various verification groups, guidance on verification tracking in the FAFSA Partner Portal, and unique situations such as verification of non-filing, identity theft, and amended returns.

Cohort Default Rate (CDR) and Default Prevention Strategies
- February 25, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. (ET)
- This webinar will prepare schools with the knowledge and tools needed to reduce student loan defaults and ensure compliance with federal requirements. In addition, information will be provided on how CDRs are calculated, effective data-driven prevention strategies, and the critical role schools play in borrower success and program integrity.
