The Department of Education encourages those higher education institutions delinquent in reporting on financial value and gainful employment to attend training on the requirements.
The Department of Education (the Department) recently announced upcoming training sessions to help schools understand complete their Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) and Student Tuition and Transparency System (STATS) reporting requirements and to supplement the guidance and resources already available.
FSA has determined that more than 1700 institutions are delinquent in meeting the FVT/GE reporting requirements for one or more of the 2024, 2025, and 2026 reporting cycles.
In the announcement, the Department reminds institutions with delinquent data submissions that they must submit all required information by January 15, 2027. This deadline follows multiple extensions and continued technical assistance from the Department. They also strongly encourage institutions that are delinquent in their reporting to attend the training sessions.
Upcoming training sessions include:
- How to Report FVT/GE and STATS Data to NSLDS
- Thursday, October 29, 2026 – 1-2 p.m. (Eastern)
- More information, including the registration link, is included in the announcement.
- A Conversation With ED: Complying with Financial Value Transparency Reporting Requirements (Hosted by ACE)
- November 10, 2026 – 2-3 p.m. (Eastern)
- More information, including the registration link, is included in the announcement.
- FVT/GE and STATS Session at the 2026 FSA Training Conference
- A session on FVT/GE and STATS reporting requirements will be offered at the December 2026 FSA Training Conference.
- More information about the session will be provided on the Knowledge Center website and FSA Training Conference Home.
