Schools, colleges, and organizations can now apply to be a part of the next couple of rounds of testing for the 2025-26 FAFSA.

The Department of Education announced that community-based organizations, high schools, school districts representing multiple schools, county and state organizations, and higher education institutions can submit an interest form to participate in Beta 2-4 for the 2025-26 FAFSA.

The interest form is due September 20 at 3 p.m. (EDT) and organizations can express interest in Beta 2 (beginning in mid-October), Beta 3 (beginning in early November), and Beta 4 (beginning in mid-November).

The announcement outlines the Department’s expectations for the participating organizations, including the number of students that must be recruited to submit a 2025-26 FAFSA.

The Department will announce the selected organizations for Beta 2 by September 24 and for Betas 3 and 4 shortly after that date.

Questions about the Beta testing can be sent to betainterest@ed.gov.
