Department of Education publishes FAQs to help financial aid professionals implement new regulations

While new regulations are meant to provide important guidance to schools, the actual implementation of those regulations can create a lot of questions.

In a recent Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education stated that to address the policy questions received from the higher education community regarding policy final regulations, the Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) has published several sets of frequently asked questions (FAQs) on their website of policy guidance. As additional questions are received, OPE will update or add FAQs to the website.

Policy questions can be submitted through the Contact Customer Support form link in Federal Student Aid’s Help Center by entering your name, email address, IHE, topic (select “Policy Guidance”), and question.
