The long-awaited ability for schools to make manual FAFSA corrections should soon be available and to help schools with the new process, the Department of Education is offering training.

The Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) will demonstrate how to use the FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP) to submit FAFSA corrections in a webinar planned for Friday, June 28 at 3 p.m. Eastern.

In a June 21 Electronic Announcement, the Department said they will walk through the process of submitting school-initiated corrections electronically by entering the data manually in the FPP, as well as performing a dependency override and a professional judgement when federal tax information (FTI) is on the FAFSA.

Registration is not required for the webinar. Instead, participation will be available on a first come, first-served basis and by clicking on the link to join the webinar.
