Institutions now have a little less than a month to submit their Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) data for 2026.
In an August 28 update to an August 11 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education reminded institutions about the October 1 deadline for reporting 2026 data and announced the availability of an updated spreadsheet that includes the latest FVT/GE reporting by institutions. The Department said it will periodically update and share the list through January 15, 2027.
In the announcement, the Department also encouraged institutions to complete their data reporting as soon as possible rather than waiting until the reporting deadline.
Institutions must submit FVT/GE data for the 2026 reporting cycle by Thursday, October 1, 2026, as required under34 CFR 668.408(a).
According to the Department, the 2026 reporting cycle covers the 2025-26 award year only and like the 2024 and 2025 reporting cycles, it requires institutions to submit data on both programmatic offerings and students.
