The Department of Education has the parent wizard tool available outside of the FAFSA form, making it easier for students, families, and others to make this determination ahead of time.
In addition, Mapping Your Future has created a FAFSA Parent flyer, which outlines several common parent scenarios. The flyer can be posted at the school, distributed by hand, or shared electronically with students.
These tools will make the FAFSA process more straightforward for some families.
