Federal Student Aid hosting webinars on the implementation of the Budget Reconciliation Bill

By Marlene Seeklander

When it comes to implementing something new, particularly new financial aid regulations, financial aid professionals want to have their questions answered and receive the latest updates.

The Department of Education announced that the financial aid community will have the opportunity to participate in questions and answers and updates on the implementation of the Budget Reconciliation Bill. Participants will be able to ask questions during the webinar by typing them into the chat.

Two webinars will be offered in April with additional webinars related to this series in the coming weeks. Registration is not required for the webinars as participation will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 5,000 attendees in each session.

The April webinars include:

Schedule of Reductions Q&A Friday, April 10 at 1 p.m. (Eastern) – This session will focus on answering questions about the schedule of reductions that schools will need to use when reducing annual loan limits for students who are not enrolled full-time. The Zoom link and information is included in the announcement.

Legacy Loan Limits Q&AFriday, April 17 at 1 p.m. (Eastern) – This session will focus on questions about the legacy loan limit provisions. The Zoom link and information is included in the announcement.

A webinar recording and transcript will be posted on the FSA Training Center the week following the live webinars and can be accessed by:
